The Importance of Design Agility

Design agility, the power to make late-stage design changes quickly and easily, is often an afterthought with CAD software. Providing capabilities for collective editing and importing models across different suites isn’t at the top of most companies’ priority list.

PTC conducted a survey to determine how design agility affects the 3D CAD modeling process. According to the study, 37.9% of engineers experienced dramatic or multiple last-minute changes working on a recent project.
